Limited Ingredients
The following ingredients are limited in formulation. The Cardiamin Advisory Board, consisting of leading heart specialists, reviews the most current clinical evidence and recommends limited amounts of certain nutrients to support heart health.

VITAMIN E: Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects against cellular oxidative stress and free radical damage. Fat soluble vitamins, such as vitamin E, may accumulate in the body and may need to be taken in limited amounts. High doses of Vitamin E may increase the risk of heart failure. Trace amounts of vitamin E are included in Cardiamin to stabilize the Omega-3 and help reduce undesirable “fish burps”.

VITAMIN C: Vitamin C is necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in the body and supports a healthy immune system. The right dose of vitamin C is important, as high doses can be associated with harm to the heart.

B-COMPLEX VITAMINS: Vitamin B6, Folate and Vitamin B12, Niacin, and Riboflavin – Deficiencies in these B-vitamins are common in patients with heart failure, but taken in high doses have not proven more effective and may be associated with harm.
